President's message

Welcome to the Harvard Club of Maryland.

Dear Harvard Alumni,

Welcome to the Harvard Club of Maryland and our website. I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve the Harvard College, Radcliffe College, and Harvard Graduate Schools Alumni Community in Maryland - I look forward to meeting you all soon! I am excited to take on this role as President of the Club. I am a Boston native, Harvard College Class of 1994. While at Harvard I lived in Straus Hall as a Freshman, and then Eliot House. I then went on to Albany Medical School where I obtained my MD. I moved to Maryland for surgical residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. I am enjoying a hiatus from medicine right now, having more time for my family. My hobbies are surfing, running, peloton, swimming, knitting and cooking. Please do not hesitate to contact me at kbsurf@icloud.com or kboyle@me.com if you would like to get more involved in the Harvard Club of Maryland or have any suggestions for how the Club could serve you better.

Most importantly, despite this uncertain time, we will continue to have events by Zoom or as restrictions allow. I wanted to let you know that we plan to host many exciting events in 2021 and invite you to be a part of the Harvard Club of Maryland.  Please watch your email inbox for details about these upcoming events and programs.  If you have submitted your email address to the Harvard Alumni Association, and you are a resident of Maryland, then you should be on our email distribution list as a member.  There are no dues for membership in our Club.

I look forward to seeing you at a Club event soon (even if just virtually)!

Best,

Karen Elizabeth Boyle, MD, FACS, AB '94

President

Harvard Club of Maryland
