The Alumni Council of the Harvard Graduate School of Design in partnership with HAAUS is excited to share this invitation with you and the constituency of your club to attend Design Impact: Transformation at the Intersection of Climate Change, Equity, and Health, a virtual event held on September 24, 2020. We believe it will be of great interest to the Harvard-Radcliffe communities of Maryland, their friends and colleagues.

Climate change, structural racism and Covid-19 have collided with propulsive force, exposing an existing landscape of inequity that demands a full reckoning - making plain what we have missed and who we have failed to serve. To create systemic change, we must develop fundamentally new design approaches that replace myopic point solutions with transformational systems that can drive change at the scale that our time demands.

Join us on September 24th, 2020 for our inaugural event. Sessions include:

·     Slum Upgrading, Design and the Right to the City, 9:00 am - 10:30 am EST

·     Radical Sustainability & The Future of Regenerative Design, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EST

·     Design Equity: The Revolution Will Be Designed, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm EST

The event will bring together an outstanding roster of global leaders to share their work and vision, challenging us as a global community to use design as a tool for actionable, transformative change and healing. The event is free and open to all. Please register here.
