"Bags of Love for Puerto Rico"

Urgent Relief Drive

WHEN: Saturday, November 18, 2017

TIME:  10AM-4PM

WHERE: 3331 Corridor Marketplace, Laurel, MD 20724 (in front of old Weis Supermarket)

WEBSITE: www.yuhabi.org

WHAT:

Puerto Rico remains paralyzed nearly 50 days after Hurricane Maria first hit. Some 70 percent of the island is still without electricity.  Elderly residents lack basic medicines and supplies.  Many schools remain unopened and safe drinking water is scarce. It's a dire situation documented this past week by the NY Times and CBS's 60 Minutes.  There are two ways to help:

1.) Purchase a tax-deductible donation from the urgent needs list from your favorite local store and drop it off at the collection site at 3331 Corridor Marketplace, Laurel, MD 20724.  The urgent needs list can be found at: www.yuhabi.org

2.)  Volunteer.  Volunteers are needed to help sort donations, help direct traffic, to conduct sign-waving, and process tax-deductible gift receipts.
